Curriculum & Subjects

The curriculum at Finham Park 2

We recognise that an excellent curriculum is the most important driver in helping to enhance our students’ achievement. Our curriculum has been developed with a clear understanding of our school’s demographic and the needs of our students. We are currently in the process of evolving from a 5-year curriculum model to a model with a distinct 3-year key stage 3 and 2-year key stage 4.

The curriculum aims

To address the needs of all students through the curriculum, we have three aims:

  • To stretch, challenge and support every child ensuring all students have a broad range of powerful knowledge
  • To promote a love of reading and improve vocabulary acquisition
  • To develop lifelong learners through the delivery of an engaging and enriching curriculum
